One of our very own instruments is Site Speed-Up – a caching tool which will take care of the static and dynamic content and will boost the speed of your website.
Keep reading to learn more about Site Speed-Up – how it works, how it is different than the other caching tools, what the advantages are, and perhaps most importantly – how to activate it from your cPanel.
If you are following our blog (you can subscribe from here, if you haven’t already), then you might have noticed how much we stress on the importance of the a website’s loading speed.
It is just a fact that it is really hard to grasp the attention of today’s consumers, let alone to keep it for several minutes. To support these facts we would like to share with you some interesting statistics:
- “A 100-millisecond delay in load time can cause conversion rates to drop by 7%.”
- “Sites that load in five seconds (compared to those that load in 19) see 70% longer average sessions.”
- “79% of web shoppers who have trouble with website performance say they won’t return to the site to buy again."
- “Pages that load within two seconds have an average bounce rate of 9%, while pages that take five seconds to load have a bounce rate of 38%.”

As you can see, a tiny delay in the load time will cause huge losses for your business. That’s why we have developed and integrated Site Speed-Up in our services.
Site Speed-Up is a tool that will cache web pages or other static and dynamic content of your website locally on the server. It means that the saved content will be requested from the cache which will boost your website’s speed and will save your hosting resources as well.
Unlike the other caching methods – Redis and Memcached, Site Speed-Up’s caching is not executed via a PHP script request, which makes it even faster than the conventional methods. For your further understanding, we would like to give you a simple example. Let’s say that you have activated Redis/Memcached on your website and it is initially loading for 2 seconds due to MySQL processing. Then, the second time will take 0.1 seconds to request the cached PHP script. This delay is missing in the Site Speed-Up’s process.
You might say that the difference is not so big, but let’s not forget about all the benefits that even the slightest load time improvement will bring to your business:
- Better organic search performance on Google;
- Better first impression of visitors who are just getting acquainted with your business;
- Higher conversion rate due to the lack of delays;
- Better mobile performance, especially with slower internet.
How to activate Site Speed-Up?
You can activate Site Speed-Up directly through your cPanel:
Then, you have to select the domain and check “Enable HostPulse Caching”:
Also, Site Speed-Up allows you to exclude specific URLs and cookies. Just enter the URL or cookie into the field, and it won’t be cached. This is useful if you have a forum page on your website or you have an e-commerce site which applies a specific cookie when a user adds a product in their cart:
