Social Sharing Buttons in WordPress
Visitors to your site can share information from your site with their friends and followers in the social media sites.
Thus way your site wins new visitors and very likely new customers.
Social media sharing is no longer just an available option, but an important necessity.
WordPress as the most used publishing application gives a great freedom to designers and developers to offer a wide range of plugins including social media sharing plugins.
The official WordPress plugin directory currently returns over 1,500 results for social share search keyword.
In this article, we'll show you how to add Social sharing buttons to your posts using AddToAny Share Buttons plugin.
We based our choice on the following plugin's features:

Install AddToAny Share Buttons Plugin
Open Administration > Plugins > Add New and paste in the search field AddToAny
Click Install Now, wait few seconds then click Activate.
Enter configuration screen click Settings > AddToAny:
Click on Add/Remove Services to select social media sites:
Clicking on icon will add it to the selection, clicking on already selected link will remove it from the selection.
Further you are provided with options where to place icons – we'll place ours only after single posts and at the bottom of pages.

But what will happen if we click on the blue button with plus sign? Additional menu will open with more social media sites:
Clicking on More link will display the whole list of media sites that we were presented in the plugin settings screen:
You can use very convenient search bar to find easily your favorite social media site:
Now go back to plugin settings screen at Settings > AddToAny and click Floating tab:
Here you are provided with options to fix your icons on certain position on the screen. Even more by combining the settings for vertical and horizontal floating you can achieve responsive effect – on wilder screens (desktop in the example) icons are fixed vertically while on smaller screens (tablet) the icons are fixed horizontally at the bottom of the screen.
These floating icons does not cancel the single posts icons, but if clicked here they share the site URL instead of certain post, which is a great option for sharing one page sites (for example).

While content sharing is important keep in mind that providing too many sharing options with attention grabbing buttons may redirect substantial part of your visitors back to the social media sites which is not the result you are looking for.
So select the sharing setting wisely to get only positive results from sharing your content in the social media sites.
